SPECTACULAR RIVERFRONT LOCATION IN NEW ORLEANS CITYSCAPE

It's all about location in New Orleans and the Hilton New Orleans Riverside places you at the center of it all. Nestled against the banks of the Mississippi, guests can watch the ships come sailing in or dive into the city life just steps away.

Overlooking the Mississippi River, this contemporary convention hotel is a 4-minute walk from Harrah's Casino and 4 blocks from the French Quarter.

All rooms offer contemporary decor and custom-designed beds. Executive rooms provide free WiFi as well as city and river views, plus access to the Executive Lounge's free breakfast and evening appetizers. Suites add separate living areas and wet bars.

There's a renowned seafood restaurant, chic cocktail bar and a grocery store. There's also a fitness center, 2 outdoor pools and an indoor tennis court.

Best Hotel for French Quarter and Cruise

~ My husband and I stayed at this hotel the night before our cruise departure. The sweet lady at the front desk was very generous when we arrived and promptly upgraded us to a river-view room and gave us free vouchers for the next day's breakfast! The room was lovely, with a marvelous view of the ship's going by and the hotel was very quiet. The hotel bed was one of the best that I have ever slept in at a hotel. We were so spoiled!

The breakfast could rival anything offered in the French Quarter. They served the famous beignet's, the most amazing gluten-free muffin's, and overnight oatmeal in glass canning jars among other things! We truly thought that it was a breakfast fit for a king.

The location is only about 5-6 blocks south of the heart of the French Quarter. An easy walk, but away from the crowd's and noise. The hotel also about 5 blocks east of the cruise terminal. There was a pretty amazing short-cut through the Riverwalk Mall. We hope to come back again, and don't intend to stay anywhere else but the Hilton Riverside! Can't recommend highly enough!

Paddlewheeler Creole Queen Cruise

 All aboard the iconic Paddlewheeler Creole Queen and cruise down the Mississippi River seeing New Orleans from a unique perspective. The Creole Queen is a modern Paddlewheeler dating back to 1983 - but she\'d easily suit the New Orleans of 100 years ago!

At 24 feet in diameter, she\'ll take you down the river passing the French Quarter, the Port of New Orleans and Jean Lafitte National Park.

 Considered one of the best zoos in the country, Audubon Zoo is definitely worth a visit - especially with the family! Set inside the Audubon National Institute, by the Mississippi River, the zoo is 58 acres and is home to over 2,000 animals from gorillas, to tigers and even Asian elephants!

The zoo was founded on a site dating back to the early 20th century and some buildings are especially art nouveau in style. One of the most impressive features of this diverse zoo is the Swamp exhibit which is home to some of Louisiana\'s most native creatures from raccoons, to otters, black bears and alligators…
